About this blog

This blog will document my journey of playing on the Golf Channel AmTour. The highs and lows, trials and tribulations, the heartache and achievements. The AmTour is open to all levels of amateurs. This blog is also an attempt to inspire others to chase THEIR dreams no matter their age.
So with a lot of practice and some good fortune you just might see me on tv during the upcoming golf season.

"Yeah runnin' down a dream
That never would come to me
Workin' on a mystery, goin' wherever it leads
Runnin' down a dream"

Lyrics from Tom Petty's Running Down a Dream.

Quote from A League of Their Own
Jimmy Dugan: ... sneaking out like this, quitting, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Baseball is what gets inside you. It's what lights you up, you can't deny that.
Dottie Hinson: It just got too hard.
Jimmy Dugan: It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

Damn Rain

So in my thinking moving down to Lousiana I thought great, wife will be around family as I travel and I will be able to play and practice year round....WRONG!!! It's been raining for over a week!..Damn it.  And more in the forecast.

So not only can I not practice or play some courses are even closed due to flooding.  Give me the cold over rain anyday.  At least in Chicago the fairways and water hazards are frozen and you can hit monster drives and skip the balls across ALL the ponds.  Have you ever stood in the middle of a frozen water hazard and hit a ball Bill Haas?

Anyway, so I certainly know how the kids in The Cat in the Hat feel, just go away rain and let us play outside.  There is only so much inside putting practice one can do.

On a cheerier note, one of my best friends from Chicago is coming down for some golf next weekend, and little does he know I am going to trick him into eating from fried alligator shhhh!
