Wow don't really even know where to begin, so I will begin again. Looking at my last post it has been quite some time since I posted. A whole year has come and gone. A year filled with many ups and downs, but I keep trying to fall forward. I won't bore or dwell on all 2014 details. Suffice it to say 2014 brought me to serious crossroads of life and I have done and made choices that I believe are best. But enough of all that, this is a golf blog right? That it is, as well as a chronicle of my journey and what a journey it has been so far. I have learned and relearned many things about myself over the last year. Words such as determination, perseverance, anguish, and heart ache come to mind.
There were a few success over the course of 2014. Played Pinehurst #2 and #4 carding 2 birdies on each course. And looking forward to tackling that beast July 2015. It was a home coming of sorts. The tribute to Payne Stewart is remarkable and my poor performance I can only attribute to being overwhelmed at the enormity of Pinehurst and its rich history. So this July she and I will tangle once again.
I did spend much of the year trying to tweak my swing here and there, and honestly for the worst as I look back. Ummm if the shit ain't broke don't fix it.
September 2014 I found myself playing nationals in Phoenix for the first time and finish in top 1/3 not exactly the position I was looking for but again I learned some valuable lessons. Always take something positive from your round. As the year finished and the fall season started, I once again found myself distracted and not fully focused and my rounds bore that out. So in an effort to change outcomes, I decided to take December off, rest and quite my mind and refocus.
The good news is the hunger and drive I once had has returned, as evident in reviving this blog.
The next tournament event is January 24 at TPC Louisiana. I will be ready.
So here is to new beginnings and rebirths. Remember it is NEVER to late to chase your dreams, and besides whats the worst that can happen?

About this blog
This blog will document my journey of playing on the Golf Channel AmTour. The highs and lows, trials and tribulations, the heartache and achievements. The AmTour is open to all levels of amateurs. This blog is also an attempt to inspire others to chase THEIR dreams no matter their age.
So with a lot of practice and some good fortune you just might see me on tv during the upcoming golf season.
"Yeah runnin' down a dream
That never would come to me
Workin' on a mystery, goin' wherever it leads
Runnin' down a dream"
Lyrics from Tom Petty's Running Down a Dream.
Quote from A League of Their Own
Jimmy Dugan: ... sneaking out like this, quitting, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Baseball is what gets inside you. It's what lights you up, you can't deny that.
Dottie Hinson: It just got too hard.
Jimmy Dugan: It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!
